Rainy Day Felt

March 7, 2008

One very rainy day. Two sick kids. Lots of felt left over from my felt food craze. Fanciful creatures made by Noah. One felt board and three storytellers. A good way to spend the morning. (note to self: washable markers rub off of felt...next time use sharpie or fabric marker)

That looks so fun! You seem like a really creative mom--that's very cool. Today we cut out old photos and put magnetic tape on the back to make photo magnets of our family and friends...I'm not that crafty so this was pretty fun for us.

I love the felt board! When Sheely was little I was super into it, I have lots of nursery rhymes and stories that I made while I was doing my student teaching. Good times :)

This is a fun idea. My kids will really like this. We have some tiles in our tub that we hand painted and my daughter loves to tell stories with them-she will enjoy these.

I'd love to make some felt interpretations of the characters in Little Bear. I got the inspiration last night to cut out carrots, potatoes, peas and tomatoes and a big black pot for birthday soup! I've never worked with felt before, but I'll be sure to use a fabric pen based on what you found out.
