Bumpy

March 30, 2008

So it is now 1 in the morning. While I was blogging a little earlier this evening about our wonderfully relaxing day on the river, Adam asked me to take a look at the floor in the hall. He said "Does it look bumpy to you?" ... "Well, yes, it does look bumpy". Turns out our water heater has been leaking large amounts of water which have now crept under the wood floors. Adam is on the phone trying to get in touch with an emergency plumber to deal with the leaking water heater. And I guess we will also need to contact someone about the floors. And yes, guess what? We are supposed to be leaving tomorrow morning....I guess it is a good thing we discovered it before leaving again. Can things get any crazier? Guess I should stop asking that question.

Okay,it's official, when you get back and you can arrange it, I'm taking you out for a girls night...nothing crazy, just a couple hours of girl time.

Eeeks! Are you serious? On top of everything else?? So good you caught it before leaving town, though!

Well, at least you found it before you left. It would be a bigger trouble if you did leave without noticing those bumps on the floor.

Did the ones you called come immediately? That's one problem that should be fixed right away. It's good that Adam was able to see it before you left the next day. Btw, were you able to go?

It's been 4 years since then. I'm assuming that you've completely replaced the leaky water heater instead of having it repaired, am I right? It's nice to fix your water heater, as it is cheaper and easier. However, you can't discount the fact that one of these days it could spill out water again, so it's better to buy a new one than spending your money on repairs.
