Snotty Pea

February 4, 2008

Last night Camille kept fussing about something. She's been sick (hand, foot, and mouth disease...January was quite a month for illnesses for us!) and with that has come a lot of grumpiness. So it took me awhile to understand she had a pea stuck in her nose. A pea which had been frozen and once inserted had thawed and plumped up. In a flash of mama genius and without any sense of panic, I squeezed the top/bridge of her nose and the pea came flying out with a gush of snot. Finally a positive attribute for snot...easy pea removal. Isn't it wonderful to learn new things every day?

Okay - I am laughing so hard I can't breathe. Think I am going to bed on that note! :-)

I SO needed a laugh tonight. THANKS! This beats my Charley has learned to remove her diaper dilemma.
I'm still laughing. Where on earth did she find a frozen pea?

Okay. That pretty much grossed me out. Thanks for the visual.

I am the fool who gave her a bowl of frozen peas...they are like toddler candy/crack in our house...super sweet when frozen and I thought that would make her feel better. I didn't anticipate the whole nose thing. Sorry to be so graphic and gross you guys out, but I couldn't resist recording it. Reminds me of when my mom was little and she put a four o'clock flower seed in her nose. One of those crazy things kids do. Or Laurie like your student who got his finger stuck in the desk!

My kids LOVE frozen peas. I think it's only a matter of time before one ends up in a nose... here's hoping its a snotty one! :)
