There were thunderstorms last night and now the gaze shifts from up to down. Surfaces are coated in petals. It's like the morning after Mardi Gras or Carnivale. Pink and white confetti declare the end of the bloom and suddenly green begins to emerge. I just wish it could have lasted a bit longer.

There's a small area of the city I live in that has these blossoms and now I'm afraid that I missed it this year. I wish they were around for longer than a week.
