Fresh from the tree (Bina and Antonio's tree). Delizioso!

Oh how lucky!!! They don't grow here, in fact I have only rarely seen them sold here at all. I have such good memories of eating tart cherry pies in Wisconsin and the yellow ranier cherries when I was living out in Seattle!
*am so behind in blog reading, looks like some good posts have happened while I was away! Hope you and the family are well!

Nice! Is there anything that doesn't grow in Sicily. It's early yet for cherries here....but when they finally ripen it's like heaven on earth for a few weeks.
Have a great week --

I'm just in awe at what is happening back home. Can we ever get a break?

Yes, we are lucky...everything seems to grow well in Sicily (or at least in Antonio's garden). We watched Food Inc last week which made me feel even luckier to be living here right now!

Cherry season is a few weeks away here in Lazio, in fact our neighbours told us off last year for eating some that were ripe before June 1st
