For Spinning: The Bicycle Animation
In addition to loving the blue doors we found on a little, dusty street in Urubamba, we also enjoyed: lunch at Kaia , ...
The bicycle animation is totally cool. I am for all those destinations in 2012. Chattanooga is such a fun city!! Those bird magnets are hilarious!
oh, lucia! i adore your lists. especially enjoyed For Parents and For Mesmerizing. i could swear that i've come across the birds and the bees before, but in essay form, but i can't for the life of me figure out where. she doesn't appear to be an author...shoot, it's gonna bug me until i remember. at any rate, it still had me laughing the whole way through!!!
Emily, I am most familiar with Julia Sweeney from her time on Saturday night live, but after listening to this performance I did a little research. I learned that she has actually written several memoirs/essays,including one about her journey to motherhood via adoption. Somehow that escaped my adoption reading radar back in 2007 so I am going to try track down a copy to read soon. She is a great performer, isn't she?
And Kelleyn, that bicycle animation is one of my favorite things on the list, too.
Ah! okay, i'm still not remembering where i've read that essay before, BUT (i don't think i've ever mentioned this) when we first moved to switzerland we were seriously considering adoption, and even went so far as having a home study done. during that time i read a ton of stuff (books/online) about adoption. perhaps it was then that i read it...hmmm...
