Post-It Note Author

October 9, 2013

A text-free book. A Post-It loving girl. And suddenly a new story to share.

I love seeing how inspiration strikes and takes hold. She started "reading" the story aloud to me and before I knew it she was on a determined quest to get it written down.

Post-It notes aren't only handy, I would also argue that they are a very important thing to have for new writers (and experienced ones, too!) Camille is especially fond of them and we are constantly finding them around our house. My mom is a Post-It note person, too, and I always love discovering her notes tucked and taped in surprising spots. Hooray for text-free books, Post-It notes, and creative writers!

The Pipsqueak's just beginning to learn her letters but has been making up stories to go with the pictures in her books since she was two -- I can't wait to try this out both to teach her and to preserve the products of her vivid imagination!

I look forward to reading her as a publicly published author. This is so great!
