I never would have guessed that we would be spending our first day of spring break sloshing around in wet snow, but that's exactly what we did. And I never would have suspected that on the first night of Passover, I'd be craving gumbo, but I was. Seriously, can we be done with winter? Please! Please!! Please!!! I feel like Mo Willems' famous pigeon in high level begging mode.. please let spring begin!
Many, many, MANY years ago, when I was in junior high school (go, Tigers!) I remember being very unhappy with the weather because we only got a few very light (sub-inch) dustings of snow all winter long. This year I've caught myself looking back at that former "me" of several lifetimes ago, and thinking...
"YOU FOOL!"
<sigh>
Welcome to Washington, gang, where the only thing less predictable than the primary regional employer is the regional weather.
Bits and pieces of daily life, nomadic rambles, pickled cravings, piles of books, and a furry dog. Cajun, Jewish, Taiwanese, American family on the move.
I here you! I am ready to move south .
