I happened upon your blog just over a week ago and was immediately enthralled in what a great writer you are! I lost my parents a few years ago and reading your blog brought tears over the pain you have felt losing your father. I too, experienced deep sorrow but over time when I think of them now, I have a smile on my face insteads of tears.
Betty
Betty, Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.
Lucia
Lucia, hope your sad heart becomes a happier heart soon. Bacino.

This Friday will be a year since my granmother died. I miss her so much. She was 90 years old and we were really close. I am sad this week and this weather really represents how I am feeling. I hope the sunshine comes out soon to brighten your week.
Madi
You're right. Those things do help. But nothing more so than time... :) Thinking of you.
Oh Lucia. My thoughts are with you.
While I don't know what it feels like to lose a parent, I hope that time will make the pain fade. I hope the time goes quickly for you in that regard and heals your heart. Im thinking of you.
Also- I meant to comment on your Mother's Day collage-- you have gotten so good at photography. I love that you take pictures of the everyday scenery (my favorite are the boots in the hallway- GREAT photo). Sometimes I take pictures of the way Nathan has set up his toys so I can remember, but I wish I were better taking pictures of things like picnic blankets or shoes....they will only be little [shoes] for a brief time. :)
i hope your heart is healing! xo
The little things do help, if only a little... I hope you are feeling better soon.
Thanks for all of the encouragement and kindness. Hanging in here. Madi, I will be thinking about you this week. Lisa, I have been keeping my camera with me at all times...my dad's advice. Photography is another thing that makes me feel good.
Lucia,
I've thought of you often lately, praying for healing in your heart and good memories to flood your thoughts. Your photos of everyday life are so beautiful, your children are so blessed to have this amazing record of years that will pass much too quickly. Your father would be so incredibly proud of your art! My love and prayers are with you, my friend.
Love,
Tiff
Sending you good thoughts while you hunker down and take care of yourself. Hang in there...
Thinking of you... Being outside and with those little ones... So good for the soul!
