And an interview with my favorite nearly five year old boy:
L: What are you going to do when you are five?
N: I am going to learn how to kick the soccer ball over the roof. And I am excited about the solar system.
L: You mean you want to learn more about the solar sytem?
N: Yes, I want to learn more about it when I am five.
L: What is your favorite food?
N: Cake and strawberries and shrimp, but I like my trains better than food.
L:What do you worry about?
N: Time outs. I hate time outs
L: What do you want to be when you grow up?
N: A firefighter
L: Who is the funniest person you know?
N: Me
L: Who is the smartest person you know?
N: Me
L: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
N: New York City so I can see the tall building and paint pictures of them.
L: Anything else you want to say about being five?
N: Nope
Too cute! I love the interview and the picture. :) I can't believe he is turning FIVE!
Oh! That was brilliant! You have to read that to him when he graduates - high school, college. So great.
OK!! This may sound really weird, But I was wondering if this was Lucia Morgan from Mr. Vic's Bus!!! My name is Charlotte Wingate and I went to Mt. Carmel with you!! If this is not Lucia,I am sorry and disregard!!! I got this blog from a mutual friend from Mt. Carmel!!!
If this is Lucia, visit my blog at

:)
Hey, Lucia!!!! I am that mutual friend Charlotte was talking about, Nikki Leger!!! I saw Margaret Hebert (???), I don't know her married name, and after I asked her if she stays in touch with you, she told me about your blog. Charlotte is my blog expert, so she helped me find you and left a comment too. Margaret and I didn't have much time, but it was so nice hearing about you and your family. The blog is great!!! It sounds as if your children are really lucky to have such a great mom. Y'all are reading some really great books. I teach Reading, Language, and Science at Mt. Carmel now. I taught kindergarten for three years, and now I'm teaching 4th grade. I'm going to recommend your booklist to our kindergarten teachers. We love to teach about other cultures, especially in the lower grades. Thank you for creating this blog. I know it wasn't intended for old school buddies, but I think it is great!!!!!
Hi Nikki and Charlotte! What a small world so happy you found me! Isn't it funny how the world gets smaller everyday. Would love to hear more about what you guys have been up to...it's been a lot of years since elementary school:)
Lucia,
What a sweet post. 5, a whole hand, that is unbelievable. Owen turns 5 in May and it seems unthinkable. Those 5 years have gone so fast. I hope you have a great celebration. Sorry to hear Adam is deploying but knowing you, you will come through it all just fine. We'll be praying for you from Okinawa. Hey there's an idea you could always visit! :)
Happy Birthday Noah. I hope that you have a grand birthday celebration!!
Great post! Where did you find that Taiwanese train? Aidan (5 in June) would love it. Do you always take a picture of the kids' favorite things around their birthdays? That's a great idea!
I love the 5 things idea! What a lovely interview. Happy Birthday to your boy!
Amy, we got the train when we were in Taiwan (there's a great little train shop in the main train station). We took a train to Taichung and we were able to get an exact replica of that train so that was very exciting for him. The five things was just a spontaneous idea but I think we may hang on to that tradition. It was fun for both of us to do. It took quite awhile for him to make his final selections.
Hey everybody - Lucia - I can't believe your son is already 5! I had a very vivid dream last night and you and Lili were in it - we were all at chucky cheese and you were eating pizza off of someone else's table!
My Mimi passed away last month, I saw Nikki at the funeral home. It was very hard for my dad, but I think it will be a relief for him. She was really bad off the last few years.
I got a new job and Kris and I are moving to NEw ORleans. I am the secretary to the Clerk of Court at the Federal Court of Appeals. Its great - I love it.
If you come to Festival, maybe we can try to see each other. I'll talk to you soon. Later, Margo
