I would love to talk to you more, but in my change to a new computer I lost your email address. When things aren't so busy for you, email me your address to pepperzamboni@earthlink.net and we can catch up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20750927.post-38073846790611373452008-06-21T06:28:00.000-04:002008-06-21T06:28:00.000-04:00Isn't it the same in civilian life too? I'm sure there are legal issues surrounding the term though.

JanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20750927.post-28830585686353288272008-06-20T18:30:00.000-04:002008-06-20T18:30:00.000-04:00What about just "military family member"? Hope all goes smoothly with that transition.Dim Sum, Bagels, and Crawfishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17398185185844916216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20750927.post-52743627935590574972008-06-20T17:30:00.000-04:002008-06-20T17:30:00.000-04:00A military wife friend was informed by a civilian ...A military wife friend was informed by a civilian employee in one of the moving offices she was considered, "nothing but baggage." Nice. Having grown up in the military and then married a fellow who joined the military, I never thought of the word as offensive. It was just part of my culture. But you are right, most military spouses are far from "dependent." What word would you use to clarify the difference between the active duty member and his/her "dependent" family members? Hmmmm . . . I can't think of one at the moment.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20750927.post-16490333257505399452008-06-20T15:50:00.000-04:002008-06-20T15:50:00.000-04:00Based on the military wives I know, you're absolut...Based on the military wives I know, you're absolutely right :)Corinnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15741365928762676938noreply@blogger.com
